Scottish Clans
Scotland: A Kingdom of Clans
At the moment there are more than 500 of active Scottish Clans around the world. All and each of them are important to the conservation and celebration of our traditions.
It would be impossible to see a pipe band passing, in full kilted regalia, without feeling proud of such an emblem of Scottish Heritage. The clans have their origin in the old Celtic traditions, since in the 13th centurythey were consolidated in the Scottish Highlands. The word "clann" means "family" or "son" in gaelic. There are many different ways of making your program a clan themmed one, from representing a battle between clans to make your clients to participate in the famous Highland Games or to include a pipe band as a "grand finale" of your night.
