Stirling Castle unveils "new look" fit for a Queen

After three years and £12 million investment, Stirling Castle is set to unveil the newly refurbished James V Palace.   The project has restored the palace to how it looked in its 16th Century heyday and is available for exclusive hire for corporate events.  The palace reopened to the public on the weekend of 4 and 5 June 2011.

The sumptuously refurbished royal apartments were once the majestic residence of Mary of Guise and her young daughter, Mary Queen of Scots. Corporate groups will be able to enjoy medieval gala dinners and entertainment provided by costumed performers in the role of guards and ladies in waiting, enabling guests to step back into the court life of the 1540s.

The royal palace adds to an impressive selection of areas available for hire at Stirling Castle, which includes the Queen Anne Garden, the Chapel Royal and the Great Hall.
