Aberdeen Maritime Museum
Situated on the historic Shiprow with stunning views across the harbour, this award-winning museum tells the story of Aberdeen's long relationship with the sea. It's the only place in the UK where you'll find exhibits on the North Sea oil industry.

Aberdeen Beach
Discover miles of pristine, sandy beach, just a stone's throw from the bustling city centre. Take off your shoes, roll up your jeans and dip your toes in the clean water. Feeling brave? Take a dip in the North Sea - guaranteed to wake you up.

Union Terrace Gardens
This inviting green space off Aberdeen's main thoroughfare is a natural amphitheatre, and is still used for concerts and other leisure activities. On quieter days, it's the perfect spot to relax, so pack a picnic and enjoy the colourful floral displays.

Old Aberdeen
Wander the cobbled streets through the oldest part of the city - some of the buildings in the university area date back over 500 years, including the magnificent King's College Chapel and St Machar's Cathedral. Look up and you'll soon see why Aberdeen's known as the Granite City.

Duthie Park and Winter Gardens
A tranquil haven by the banks of the River Dee, these 44 acres of landscaped parkland are home to the spectacular Winter Gardens. If there's a nip in the air, warm up wandering through the magnificent tropical houses.

Brig O'Balgownie
This granite and sandstone footbridge dates back to the 13th century. Possession of the bridge was crucial in times of war, being the only route suitable for moving large armies along the eastern coast of Aberdeenshire.

Hazlehead Park
The wooded grounds and flower filled gardens of this city park are a joy to explore. Kids will love running around in the large play area, or meeting the donkeys, goats and lama in Pet's Corner.  Hazlehead Park is a short 3 mile journey out of the city centre.

His Majesty's Theatre
From musicals to classical theatre, modern dance to comedy, the stage is set for a run of brilliant performances at His Majesty's. Restaurant and café bar, with tempting a la carte and pre-theatre menus. Think this might be a part of your Aberdeen city break?
