VisitScotland's Business Tourism Industry Seminar

VisitScotland’s Business Tourism Unit hosted another successful Industry Seminar event on Tuesday 2nd February.

Held at the Stirling Management Centre, over 90 delegates from destinations, venues and support services across Scotland attended to participate in interactive sessions and network with key industry colleagues.
Sessions included a focus on how to get the best from exhibitions, advice on competitor positioning in PR, an insight into the BTU enquiry service, and information from the UK Border Agency on the visa process for buyers from emerging markets.

The day ended with an inspiring presentation from Professor Joe Goldblatt, CSEP, Director of the International Centre for the Study of Planned Events at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh who focused on “Scotland’s Next  Enlightenment: 21st Century Business Tourism”

All presentations are now available to view on the industry website by clicking here.

The day was well received by the attendees and feedback so far has included:

“You certainly can’t fault VS on their organisation. Very friendly, professional and an abundance of well presented information.”
