Something old, something new

New Lanark Mill Hotel

Located in New Lanark World Heritage site, the New Lanark Mill Hotel has a truly unique and historic setting.  Surrounded by native woodlands and close to the famous Falls of Clyde, New Lanark was founded in 1785 as a cotton spinning village and became famous as the site of Robert Owen's pioneering social reforms. The New Lanark Mill Hotel is a stunning award-winning conversion from an original 18th century mill.

The New Lanark Mill Hotel can provide the perfect environment for a meeting with all rooms enjoying natural daylight and outstanding views over the River Clyde and the conservation village. There is a choice of four meeting rooms, with capacities ranging from 25 to 70, as well as an event suite capable of hosting a conference for up to 200 delegates.

Foals and Horses

National Museum of Rural Life

With its secluded location and distinctive setting, the Museum offers an ideal location for corporate groups looking for a peaceful, countryside location within easy travelling distance to the city. Team building challenge

Scotkart’s ‘Combat City’

Based within Scotkart Indoor Karting in Cambuslang, ‘Combat City’ is Scotland’s first urban combat arena.  A hybrid of Laser Tag and Paintball, the fast-moving game is played by two teams of 10 people in an outdoor arena over 2,500 square metres. Camouflaged players dodge in and out of reclaimed shipping containers which are rigged up to resemble a battle-torn city. Players adopt tactics and handle realistic-looking infra-red technology weapons similar in style to those used by the US military in training.

Scotkart can organise tactical games for corporate groups of up to 100 participants.  A totally unique experience in Scotland, It’s also great for reward and recognition and a fun and adrenalin-fuelled alternative to other team-building activities.

Anyone for golf?

The Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort

Only fifteen minutes from both Glasgow city centre and Stirling, The Westerwood Hotel is located in prime territory whether craving the city buzz or the simple pleasures in life.
The Westerwood Hotel is an ideal conference and meeting venue.  The resort has seven conference and meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 400 people in total.
For those wishing to mix business with pleasure, the Hotel’s magnificent 18 hole course meanders through silver birches, firs and heather.  Designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas, it’s one of Scotland’s best kept secrets. The signature hole, devised by Seve, is the par 3 15th, known as the Waterfall hole. Hitting from above to a green surrounded by a 60ft rock face, it’s not for the faint hearted and the undulating moorland greens also puts players to the test over the nervy 4ft putts.
With the beautiful Campsie Hills in the background, the Westerwood is a great venue for a team building event with surroundings to inspire creativity and generate great ideas. Combined with a game of golf, it’s a great option to combine business with teeing-off only a short drive from both city centres.
