ASAE Annual Meeting & Expo, North America
ASAE, the American Society of Association Executives exhibition took place in Los Angeles in August 2010.
Scotland joined ASAE again as part of the VisitBritain group. This was the 4th time that the BTU targeted this exhibition which focused on the association sector. We were delighted to have two partners with us representing the convention centres from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The 4-day expo and conference targeted American meeting planners and association management companies and included a combination of an educational programme, networking and an exhibition opportunity to meet the association industry in North America.
The Business Tourism Unit also hosted a separate Scottish dinner for our partners which targeted key clients and journalists, with the aim to raise further awareness of the Scottish product and highlight our facilities as an association business destination.
During the exhibition our partners took one-to-one appointments and discussed Scotland’s conference facilities.
