Portrait of Scotland Networking Dinner

On Tuesday 15th May, VisitScotland’s Business Tourism team hosted its annual regional networking evening in the exclusive surroundings of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh.

21 venues and suppliers from around Scotland networked during a drinks reception and dinner, meeting with key conference and events organisers. In partnership with Perthshire Business Tourism Group, we welcomed agents from England as well as Scotland, with 7 guests joining PBTG on their Perthshire Fam Trip after the event.

Celebrating the Year of Creative Scotland guests were serenaded from the Mural Balcony in the Great Hall by up and coming opera star Tony Henry. Heritage Portfolio supplied splendid cuisine with their creative canapés and provided a fabulous dining experience in The Ramsey Room. Local artist Nicky Sanderson was also present capturing the atmosphere on canvas. Look out for the next issue when Nicky’s work will be unveiled.

“Thanks to you and your colleagues and all the "exhibitors" for a lovely evening last night.  It was great to be able to catch up with so many event venues that I had not met for while and of course, some new "finds". The Gallery is truly a great space itself.”

“I had a wonderful evening and was delighted to have the opportunity to chat with representatives from such a vast range of Scottish venues. The evening was first class, as always, with wonderful food, excellent company and fantastic entertainment. "
