Scotland in Manchester
Scotland in Manchester January 2012
Scotland came to Manchester this month when BTU hosted a traditional Burns Supper in the award winning French Restaurant of the Midland Hotel.
Venues from across Scotland including Aberdeen, St Andrews, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow were on hand to meet the invited audience of 23 buyers over welcome drinks before being piped down to dinner.
All the traditional favourites were on the menu, including Haggis and Beef, along with the not so usual Mull of Kintyre Cheese Trifle and a Chefs Scottish Surprise, which turned out to be a very delicious cordon blue version of Deep Fried Mars Bar!
To tickle the taste buds even further, Regis of WhiskyMad entertained us throughout dinner, illustrating that you only need a pipette of water to release the flavour of our National drink!
Partners who attended included:
The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort
